The Wire

in the parkHello and welcome to the latest wire magazine! As we close the door on winter and dust off the cobwebs for spring, in this edition we bring you a bunch of treats – from making your own compost to Easter egg hunts.

In May this year there will be local and European elections so if you haven’t registered to vote, you have until 6 May to do so. We’ve caught up with one of Warrington’s members for youth parliament, Steven Atkins, who tells us about the work of the youth council and why it’s important for young people to speak up.

If your New Year’s healthy eating pledge hasn’t gone quite to plan, we’ve got a quick and easy challenge for you and your family to take up. It’s a Change4Life campaign which asks you to swap one item of food to a healthy alternative each day and you can get lots of free stuff and vouchers for signing up.

We’ve also got a what’s on guide and a round-up of the council’s latest news. If you want more then check out our newsroom which is updated daily – or follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest.

If you have any feedback or stories for the next edition then we’d love to hear from you – email
